    I'm amazed to discover kestrels in the park I use to visit (about 5 min walking from my home). The scene was quite fast so I had lots of problems in this shots I'm identifying to learn from. My technique has to improve...

    nice job, jose. i think that is a peregrine falcon? all should look good bigger with a little more post processing. good luck with this guy. they are fun!!!

    Hi JOSE - Like the action - congrats on your first Kestrel. (Certainly looks like our Ozzie Kestrels)

    As presented the images look quite soft maybe they are big crops and a little lacking in saturation.

    I live in a town (100.000 inhabitants) named Telde in Gran Canaria. We have a public park where I mainly shot my birds pics. Yesterday I have discovered a couple of kestrels (though not sure) wich are nesting in a palm free (I hope so)
    I saw them for about 20 seconds, but in the next weeks I hope to watch them and even shot them if I am lucky

    Kestrel it is and found it with a meal !!!!

    The crop does bring problems but a keeper in my book !! Hope the second will be more favorable !!

    With observation and patience I'm sure you'll get some great shots Jose. Hope they are nesting. you might get some great fledge shots too.
