Brown Treecreepers occur in eucalypt woodland and often forage on the ground like this fellow. Canon 400D, EF400 f/5.6, ISO400, 1/125, f/5.6 on a tripod.

Beautiful bird, and the colors of the background are very complimentary. Nice sharpness too. I am not a fan of perching birds on the ground, but you get them where you can :)

Another first for me. I haven't seen this species before. Maybe a lower angle would have separated the bird a bit more.

Would also add a lower angle would clean most of the bg objects and give a special look !!!! Excellent detail on that bird !!!

A lovely species I have not seen before. You certainly were able to get close too. Good pose and composition, and sharp detail. You must have been pretty low when you took this image, and the foreground stick on the ground may have become more prominent had you gone lower. Nice capture.

Challenging target Simon, colours and detail compliment the bird. I like the highlight in the eye.
