Here is another from my blind: juncos are my most frequent visitors.

Olympus SP-570UZ, Manfrotto tripod and pistol-grip head; zoom at 86.3mm; ISO 64, f/4.4, 1/80sec. Cropped from original; adjusted for vibrancy, contrast, clarity, and saturation. Applied PSE noise reduction at maximum power.

I selectively sharpened the eye, and also sharpened the picture as a whole.

Hope you like it, and thanks for looking! Comments welcome as always.

hi massimo. cute birdie! light angle killed you here. the eye needs to be lit by the sun. preferable to have the sun at your back when taking images. you can get a way with sidelight if you have it lit by the sun or are using flash fill to open the shadows. will be tough with flash though!

Excellent critique Harold !!! Right on the money !!

If your setting up the blind try lining up with sun angle, some fill flash would not bother the bird either !!! bw good tech for your camera !!!!

    Hi Massimo,
I agree totally with Doctor Davis' assessment. Just need to watch the light and be aware of the shadows...looking forward to your next one...

Agree with Harold, just a bit more of a head turn and it would have brought out the darks on the face and the eye. Keep them coming Massimo! I think it would look nice with a bit more canvas on the bottom.
