    Default Eurasian Crane

Thought I post a little bit 'other' avian picture. Because our cranes in Europe are much more shy as the ones in North America, I have much more environmental pictures from Grus Grus. This is from last fall close to the German National Park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft. The cranes stay there in September/October for approx. 4 weeks on their way from Scandinavia to Spain.

Great find and pose. I wouldn't sharpen the green in the foreground and might blur the stalks a bit more.

    Beste Grüße!

I like this environmental portrait showing the harvested stubble and buildings in the BG. The light is a little harsh and may be more attractive earlier or later in the day. Having the light behind you more would reduce the amount of crane in shade. Having the bird in the middle of the image is not ideal and I think it would be stronger if it were placed a little to the left.

As above, plus, by moving to your right you could have effectively gotten the bird out of the center of the frame and had a better sun angle.
