    I like the shallow DOF here. You've got it sharp where it needs to be. If only the bird were looking at you. I would remove the OOF branch behind the perch in the URC.

    Cute inquisitive pose. The perch is a bit htick, but nicely weathered. You could crop just enough at right and top to hide the blunt endings of the perch. You'd still retain the interesting piece of bark still attache to it, and this would also place your subject a little more favourably within the frame. Some fill could have helped with some deatils in the blacks, but you could still be able to extract some with some judiscious shadows recovery. Good clean BG to round this off nicely :-)

    This looks great for iso 1000 for that camera, nice pose, I just bought a 50D and am having some trouble with noise, did you use noise reduction here? Is there any advice you could give me for camera settings with the 50D to reduce noise that you could give me?
