This was shot the same day as my previous posts, So I didn't get a chance to use Daniel's advice concerning my ISO's

Is this too soft? And are the colors right? My field guide shows the green by the eye almost like a mallards green head-but I didn't see any green at all when I was shooting it. I never saw one before. Thanks in advance for your help
    PS-I added canvas to it.

Hi Denise...The head looks sharp on my monitor and I don't see very much softness elsewhere other than the wing tips which is perfectly acceptable. There is definately green in a widgeons head.(this species of widgeon)
I like the water droplets which add to the action, light angle and wing position. Good placement also! This is one of a number of beautiful flight shots you recently posted. Good going!

Another solid flight shot Denise! Great light, wing position. and sharpness. I like the water droplets. Wigeons have a variable amount of green on their heads, and the light really affects how well the green shows up. I have to agree with Daniel's advice about ISO. I essentially never use less than ISO 400 when there's any possibility of action.

Good action Denise, and the water droplets are neat and I like the wings pointing straight up! It's hard to tell from this web posting size, but the "shaky" funky-looking catchlight may be pointing to evidence of very slight subject motion blur - at least on the head. There is also a vertical faint paler streak spanning from top of head to top of frame that could be tweaked to match the rest of the BG. Good job on extending the canvas, and on catching some of the green on the head :-)

Thanks everyone and I will try to keep it at 400 in the future!

Very nice Denise, the sharpness is great, love the comp and the water droplets add to the action (even the drops look sharp).
