    Similar to the other woodswallows, the Dusky often selects crevices behind peeling bark to build thier nest.

    Canon EOS 10D, 100-300 F5.6L, ISO 200, 1/125 sec F 11, Fill flash.

    Hi John. Those chicks look hungry! The parent could stand a little more sharpening. I would have bumped my ISO to get a little more shutter speed. I hope you're not disturbing these nesting birds, particularly with the use of flash. :)

    Great behavior and setting. The critical focus seems to be in front of the bird.

    Hi John - Like the pose and setting - think the ethics of the nesting behaviour is going to be a touchy subject.
