This started as a picture of some cottonwood trees, then something went horribly wrong... Nikola Tesla was experimenting with electricity and charged the entire forest with electrical energy. Can't you just hear it humming and crackling?

Used a solarizing effect in Nik Color Efex, then some radical Hue/Saturation changes as well as a burnt edges effect.

Kery, I think the solarized effect works well to convey a sense of electrical charge gone crazy! The burnt edges is a perfect touch!

I saw that movie too Kerry! Great treatment and the burnt edges top it off!

Well, although I like the treatment, I think its a really busy image - I'm having trouble finding a place for my eyes to land without feeling like they're getting retinal burn. Part of me thinks it's cool and funky but part of me is glad I don't have it hanging on my wall. Maybe with a few less trees???

Julie, that was the intent! Was hoping to make it look like it is in motion... ;)
