I haven't posted for a while so I thought I would send in this image
Today at Venice Rookery-Light was getting harsh.
Canon 5D MKll, 500f/4L. 1/5000, f/9, ISO800, 01.67EV, Topaz Vibrance filter.

I like the pose and setting and the chick adds to it. The light does look harsh, the whites look almost gray on my monitor. It needs more room top, bottom and left. I hope you will get another chance to photograph these birds in better light.

Hi Bill - looks like softer light would have been the key here- Do like the pose and the chick and does feel a little tight as mentioned.
