I think it might be to cropped, showing 1/5 of the original picture, so it lost some detail, but I like very much the bird and the resurrection ferns:).
Maybe I should start considering getting something longer like a 500:confused:

Thank you in advance for your C&C

    Hi Alberto,
I like the capture and the leaning pose...:D I recommend you toning down the whites in the background to the left of your subject and selective sharpening the eyes...good show...where was this taken?

    Nice one Alberto,
Details are still quite good despite the large crop. Agree with Gus' comments on toning down the whites in background (sky).

Hi Alberto I'm amazed at the quality !!! Large crop, 1/30 of a sec and with the crop factor you did have lots of magnification !!! Excellent tripod technique !!!

Would go after longer focal length if possible, will open up a whole set of images !!!!

Since its a large crop would have preferred having the virtual tail in frame unless there was something strange there !!

    Hi Alberto,
Now that you showed me the full frame image, see if this works best with you...I cropped all from the right side of the frame, following the leaning pose of your Owl to the left, also increased the saturation 2 degrees and adjusted the contrast. I also desaturated the green foliage in the background...and selective sharpen the eye, and opened up the mid-tone around the face... see if this presents best to you...:)

Hi Alberto - good detail for a large crop - and at 1/30th to boot. Somewherebetwenn the original and Gus's repost would be on the money for me.

Of course the other low cost option depending on your lens would be a 1.7 converter - yep it will make your AF slower etc etc - but its a few hundred $ cost compared to a few thousand dollar cost.

    Keep em cooming ....

Good capture Alberto, I actually prefer it with more habitat too. I agree with somewhere in between too for a crop. Must be neat to get an owl picture!
