    Have been working on getting closer to the birds--this is taken from a blind I've set up in the backyard. I wish he had had his crest up, but he did not stick around long enough, and this was the best of the "session".

    Olympus SP-570UZ, 86.3 mm, ISO 64, f/4.4, 1/60sec. Cropped from larger original (all around); selective sharpening of the eye, noise reduction, increased color saturation and contrast, sharpened picture overall.

    Hi Massimo,
    I like the composition, image and capture. You have a good head angle and good eye contact...my recommendation would be to selective sharpen the eye, and tone down the reds a tad...looking forward to your next one...:cool:

    Nice shot, Agree Gus on turning down the red a bit. I'd also suggest a different crop with less room above the bird.

    Gus is right on with the suggestions Can add I would like seeing the head higher or lower in frame to separate form bg red line !!! Very pleasing image and you will be getting closer !!!

    Hi - Agree with Gus also - as mentioned do like the placement in the frame - one thing to remember with diagonal perches is to keep them out of the corners as you have done here.

    You did well Massimo, your perserverance is paying off! Just curious what the red in the BG is?
