The color of the Land Iguanas varies, and this particular one stood out from the more comon reddish-brown. It was early morning and it seemed we were disturbing his/her sleep. Taken Feb. 3, 2009 on Seymour Island, Galapagos, Ecuador.

What a relaxed guy, the colors are interesting and make me think of the ocean, perhaps because of the blue and "shells". The dark rock provides a great setup that makes him pop.
It's tight on the right side, I may be tempted to crop one inch, just leave the first two nails, if you don't have any more space to add there.

This is a cool picture. I like the pose, the colors, and the textures. If you have the space, I'd trade the barely visible nail on the left (as viewed) for an eqaul amount of space on the other side.

    Dick,

I like how you framed him long in the image so I would suggest cropping from the top and creating a pano. Tightness mentioned on right.

Fine image here. A pano crop would work well but it's fine as is...

Thanks for all your good suggestions. These forums are such a great learning opportunity and I appreciate your time and thoughtfulness.

There was no space in the original on the right, so I added canvas and "built" the background via cloning, bluring, etc. Then cropped for more of a pano view per your suggestion. I like it a lot better, and it was a good exercise. What do you think? Thanks again.

I love what you did with the added canvas. I personally prefer the original crop with more space on top, but it seems the consensus is for a pano.

I like the more space at the top in the original. The pano feels more constraining to me. You had clicked it at 280mm. I am sure after the canvas addition exercise, you will go wider the next time.
