I was too close to get the entire bird, so tried to compose it in a pleasing manner. Minor crop in post.

    Comments always appreciated

The nice light really helped you nail the whites. Nice sharpness, and I like the ruffled feathers. I might boost saturation just a tad.

    Lovely image !
Great detail in the whites and excellent background.
    Very well done !

Like your idea of going for a front end portrait but I would crop a bit more from
the right side, almost half way to the bird's left leg, leaving everything else as is.

Excellent exposure - tons of details in the whites. The minimal light blue background is perfect for such an elegant subject. Only nit I would have is completely a personal opinion - less of a boxy square crop.

Per several suggestions, I recropped slightly, boosted saturation just a bit.

Let me know if its an improvement if you please.

    Thanks

    Hi Randy,

I got your PM. I appreciate the fact you take my advice. I hope you don't mind but I wanted to illustrate what I was talking about. I'm a big fan of vivid colors and perhaps you don't like it, but this is for you to get an idea.

Thank you for your words once again and stay in touch!

Randy, I like your image a lot. May I suggest you crop it from below to just above the belly line, eliminating the legs and just a tad from the right side. And Maxis re-post as to the colors is a bit better, not as flat. Lots of potential on this image. Excellent details.

    Grady:

Thanks for the input. The reason I left the bottom as is, was I didn't want to cut off the plumes on the neck. Perhaps that isn't essential to the image, but that was my original thinking.

I think both crops will work Randy. You have a terrific image to work with. Just dynamite plumage. Keep them coming. By the way, your support here on BPN is outstanding. Keep it up. I appreciate it very much. You always have valuable input.
