I have a lot more Spoons I want to upload but there's been so much of it I thought I'd change it up...

Every now and then you'll get a morning full of doom and gloom overcast. Out with James, Jory and Blake on the Hooptie Duex we traveled out by an Osprey nest to grab some shots. I tried to make the best of the situation making this 'somewhat' high-key image. I really liked the pose as he was coming in for landing. I was unsure how to crop this but figured putting the nest in the middle might work well visually. Let me know if you all think it could be done more effectively in another format.

I like the pose and details, the high-key works well here. Interesting that the talons are not open yet so shortly before landing.

    Phillip:

I think this is the only crop that will work. The high key look makes the most of the light you had to work with.

I like the sharpness of the face and the blurred wingtips. The crop is A-OK. I wish only that the bird's head were turned a bit more towards you.

    Nice meeting you.
