    “The Little Princess”

This little lady is the princess of Tropical Park in Miami. She was gracefully swimming in the pond one afternoon when she came close to the bank for a closer look at my funny hat.
    She was painted with a Nikon D200, using a Nikkor AF-S VR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED lens.

    Image Solution:
    focal length @ 450mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / 1/750sec. - f/11 / ISO @ 320 /exposure comp @ +0.3EV / white balance @ auto / AF Mode @ AF-C / color mode @ sRGB / tone comp @ 1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / no speedlight / no tripod, hand held sitting on the pond bank /

great eye detail, reflection, and I like the appearance of the water. The longer feathers on the duckling's back look harsh (over sharpened?) to me on my monitor. Perhaps I am just used to seeing these babies as soft and fluffy.

    great image.

Gus - the duckling is really super, and I love the super sharp head reflection - best ever. I like the ripples, not sure about the green reflections. Green isn't always an attractive color for water.
How did the length of lens get to 450mm - am I not reading something?
Wonderful image - great detail. The duckling pops right out.
    Cheers

    Very good composition, duckling adorable..
The best part of this image is the
water. The color combination is a winner.
I wish for a lower angle on the duckling,
    but I understand the circumstances.

    Cheers, Ilija
