I took a trip through Aransas National Wildlife Refuge a few days ago. Conditions there are pretty grim. Jones Lake was about a 40 acre lake that teemed with wildlife, bird, and lilies. This shot was taken in the only water in the lake. I'll post a wider angle shot after this one. Texas is in extreme drought condition (as are other southern states that have been suffering longer than we have)
Scary though for the animals there. The ones here look so wet and clean, it breaks my heart to see this one. Hope rain will help.
Thanks for sharing this, Michael.
Have a close friend competing in the Coastal Bend Photo Contest near here and is having the same problems with drought... Image tells a story for sure...
Michael,
Tough conditions. I feel so bad. Your second image sums it up pretty accurately. Good thought in using that 14mm in a full frame. Thanks for sharing.
