    Default Tail Feathers

I know this shot is departing from a few photographic rules but I still think it works .. maybe. This Red Tail Hawk took off and flew away from just as I got the camera up and was showing me nothing but tail feathers until it turned to look at me. I went with the vertical crop to pick up on the vertical elements in the tree line and to allow a bit of the sky to show. The white in the BKGD is a bit distracting but I think the mood would be too dark if I changed it. Appreciate your thoughts and thanks for looking.

Hi Malcom - it is different - I like it, what makes it is the head angle and the eye contact. Keep them coming :)
