I posted a similar image in Macro awhile back-started adding color tones to some and came up with this-

Very nice, Denise! I love the color tones and the depth in the "hairs". My only nit is that I would prefer to see more of the grass plume in focus.

Christopher I shot this at several diff. aperatures and some of the smaller aperatures made the plume seem harsh and I really preffered the softness of this one- But to each their own:) And I appreciate your opinion! Thanks

Denise, I understand why you wouldn't want to lose the softness. Maybe shooting with the plume more parallel to the camera would have gotten more of the plume in focus without losing the softness.

Christopher, As I mentioned in my previous post I shot this at diff. aperatures-but I preferred the softer focus-Here is an F/22 . It is sharper but I feel it looks harsh and for me I prefer the softer focus-I considered BG elements also. You can make all your images sharp-but that doesn't always produce the most pleasing images. Sometimes it's just experimenting with your camera settings and considering your BG elements. Hope this is helpful!:)
PS- There is no PP work on this image. just crop

I usually like the softer side of these plants, also, Denise. I do think if it had been even with the focal plane you might have gotten a bit more focus but I see where you are going with this.

Love the colored tones in this but wish the plant itself wasn't quite so gray...maybe a bump in contrast?
