    The female Gang-gang Cockatoos lack the bright red head of the male but they do have wonderful barred markings underneath as shown here.

    Canon 40D, 400/f5.6L, 1/160s, f5.6, ISO 800, Ev +2/3, fill flash EC -1 2/3, monopod

    Beautiful bird, great behavior, light and details. The setting is a bit busy but it might be difficult to get them out in the open.

    Well caught, Leo. That red berry in the bill really makes it. Lovely feather textures. I might try a version trying to blur out the BG a bit more and maybe reducing the greens a little
