Not the most idylic perch but one which this bird has used each morning for about a month.
This subject has been really spooky, flying off the moment I pull up in the car, so last Sunday I arrived before the sun was up and waited for it's arrival...which fortunately did occur.

Nice soft light with seamless use of fill flash, good eye contact. I fiddled with a couple of crops to see if I could downplay the perch without unbalancing the image, no luck, I think you got the most out of it.
Your angle on the bird looks pretty good, helped by your long effective focal length putting you out a fair distance.
Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful bird with us.
Jim, Beautiful eye contact and pose, The soft blue BG is complimentary.Exp. and details look good! I like the perch-it's something different and it doesn't interfere with viewing the owl!
I went to Plum Island from Portland Maine the other day in search of the snowy which was released a few weeks ago. A no show. Looks like I should have hooked up you. Outstanding image. Whenever you want to go again, please let me know. I would love to meet you and capture one of these. Thanks for the look.
