Got down in the dirt to get this one. He was heading into a clump of tall grass that I cropped out on the RHS as I thought it would look too cluttered, hence the lack of space on the right. Worked this covey of quail for about an hour, and when I finally got down to their level, they came right toward me. :) Sorry about the feet.

Cropped a little, cloned out two pesky blades of grass, and did the usual color and level tweaks in ACR/CS4.

Hi Kerry - Nice sharp details, a good HA , eye contact is good - like the catchlight in the eye, exposure is good. Nice looking bird - might just add a bit of blur to the BG maybe.

    keep em coming :)
