Well caught, Sabayasachi. I really like the splash and arch of water droplets. I think this is a rare case of too much lens - a little more space would be nice. Maybe without the 2x and then room for a crop for composition. Birds just don't follow the script sometimes:D

Well captured Sabayasachi - the action of bird and water provides lots of impact. I would just like to see a little more canvas up front for the pelican to move into.

I agree more space in front would have been great...as well as more space at right as the splash is also rather tight to the frame. I also think the pelican can be toned down as it seems a little on the bright side. I do like the action, and the small water trail from splash to feet is nice. I also like the habitat in BG.

Thanks a lot for your comments. A 1.4x instead of the 2x is better as it gives more space. My problem is in small size like this post, it becomes difficult to get the eye prominent if the pelican covers less space in the frame. I mean to say, even if the eye is sharp, in web presentations, it doesn't appear so.

I revisited the pp. Lowered the exposure by half a stop and the pelican looks better, but the background becomes darker.
