Hi Jeff - Good Ha and eye contact and like the soft golden light - your bird needs a little more sharpening - shutter speed a bit slow at 1/250th for 400mm. Need to run some NR on the background.

I have made a couple of changes for you - sharpened - NR - Recropped.....

    Any Better??

    Lance,

100% better, thanks. This was the first time to use smart sharpen in CS4, not enough juice. Did you apply manually (what %).

I also ran NR on BR but was too weak. Could I ask what % you applied as well.

Now that I see your repost, my BR looked bad - I continue to learn thanks to my BPN family.

    Lance,

I have been tweaking NN and realized that the color NR has more impact that the luminance regarding my BR noise. When I ran NR again trying to match your repost. I realized the color NR reduced it significantly, do you use both?

Hi Jeff = I sharpened manually , I always sharpen maually as I find each image is different and depends on what you want to do with it - sharpening for print is different to sharpening for the web. I sharpen it to the point were I think its just that bit to sharp and then back it off a bit.

I use Noiise ninja - and I am lazy - I load up camaera profiles and let it do its thing - sometimes I will run two passes - on the BG only.
