    Adam:

    I know that spot!

Lovely wing position, stick and framing. I particularly like the breeding plumes billowing out below. Good use of DOF to blur the background.

For me, the rear wing looks very close to 255, not much detail, front wing and body are nice. Maybe I need to calibrate my monitor again! How much EC did you use, assuming you weren't in manual.

    Cheers

    Randy

    Hi Randy,
Thank you for the comment, the highest reading i got on that back wing is 237. As far as the EC, i am using manual almost 90% of the time.

I'm liking this one alot Adams. Great timin, and great seperation between subject/perch and BG. There is a bit of detail along the primaries of the bright far wing that can be brought out a little more. Using the burn tool locally there and set at about 8-10% should do fine. There are also a couple of whitish spots among the leaves that could be taken care of just to nicely clean off the presentation. I know these seem like minor points...but sometimes they make the greatest difference.

    Adam:

I stand corrected on the whites. I still might try some highlight recovery, just to see if you can get a smidge more detail into that back wing.

    Hey Adams,

Excellent capture. Whites looks fine here. You did well capturing the bird just in time! Take care!

    Hi Daniel,
Thank you for taking the time and posting a comment. I will remove the whitish spot from the leaves.
