Image created Saturday in Newburyportwhen this grebe came in close to shore feeding at low tide.

    Once again, rather cloudy conditions.

Great details and head angle. Maybe a bit more contrast and room on the right.

Love the wave patterns in the water. Nice pose and sharpness. Agree about a slight contrast boost.

Very nice image. love the detail and water droplets on the back. Agree with the comment for a little more room behind the bird. beautiful wave patterns above the bird. I'm guessing the horizontal waves in the foreground are coming off the shore?

Jim, The details and pose are great ,really like the water-it has a silver look which compliments your grebe nicely.

Default Interesting Comments on the Contrast

I actually had processed it a bit more contrasty, but the image didn't present then as it had looked when I shot it.

The little waves in the foreground were indeed from the shore.....specifically a little sand cliff 6" high with a big old log buried in it parallel to the shore.
