Another capture from Cachuma Lake. I just love these birds. They are gregarious, smart, funny, and just plain fun to photograph. Not sure how to deal with the composition on this one, so went with a sort of centered look.

HI Kerry - Good looking Woody - Good Ha, nice eye contact and wonderfully sharp - like that look on the little guy.

Would desat the reds just a tad and crop a tad off the LHS. Congrats :)

    Hi Kerry,
I like the composition, image and capture, very good details and head angle on the Woody with a clear sharp eye...agree with Mr. Peters on desaturating the reds on the head...good show, looking forward to more...

Lovely composition, sharp. Based on what I see on my monitor, I'd try lightening the black just a wee bit along with de-saturating the red. I also try a tighter crop so the bird's the thing.
Good job to get this capture.
    Cheers

Thanks for the suggestions, all good! Here is the image with all of them rolled in - desatured red a bit, raised the blacks, cropped off the left side and a bit all around. :)
