    Default Spoonbill Flipping One

    This Spoonie was fishing in front of me and managed to flip his meal so I could capture it. I think he was showing off. I realize I don't have the traditional frontal lighting, but it was impossible to obtain at this location. I think the action and interesting side light makes up for it. What do you think?

    1DMK2 with 500 f4. Manual exposure at f5 and 1/5000.

    Good one Ed - well captured.
    Very nice directional light and the expanding ripples add to the action.

    Great moment captured and good details. I might tone down the highlights and am wondering if it needs a bit CW rotation.

    Nice catch. The light looks fine to me, but I agree about toning down the highlights.
