    Wow, the bird is great. B&W is perfect for a grackle, although the purple and blues are lost. I like the crop even tough part of the bird is missing. very dramatic.
    Are some of the whites in the bg blown? I'm not sure.

    I like the composition on this one Kurt...you have sharp details and a sharp eye with a good head angle...I like the high-key background...:cool:

    Kurt, Nice B&W conversion, works well with this bird, even though the irridescent purples and blues are lost as noted by Gail -may be tempted to burn the perch a bit. High-key BG is very nice. Sharp details and very nice eye! Well done!
