I brought in my first handful of fresh daffodils this week and was playing around with them today. I decided to do some blurs since so many of you were doing bird blurs this week and I came away with a few images I really liked...this being my favorite. I found out putting it on a long exposure and simply handholding it made the best blurs...your natural body movements will make the best patterns in most cases.
Canon 40D, EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
f22 @ 6 seconds, ISO 100
Flash fired, natural sunlight through the window
Pattern metering, Sunny WB, handheld for the "jiggle"
Processed in ACR & CS4. Slight crop, levels adjustment, noise reduction, sharpening

Jules, The high-key BG really adds to this. With just a hint of sharpness it's fantastic!! Don't see you doing too many blurs-maybe you should do more this is great!
