    Default Black-bellied Plover

Newbie here, interested in learning more. I am a digi-scoper, shooting with an 80mm scope (Swarovski) equipped with a 30X wide-angle eyepice, giving me a reach of about 1500mm. I using the Nikon CoolPix 8400, usually in the lower zoom range. The depth of field with this kit is rather limited, as shown here. I sometimes like the effect, but other times it can be distracting. This photo shows what I mean, as the bird on the left seems to pop out nicely. Horizon appears tipped. Should I rotate and crop? Any other suggestions?
    Look forward to your comments.

Also, although I am logged in as a member, it says I am not allowed to post attachments. How to I get permission for posting photos?

    Cheers, Len Blumin

Len, forum members can use the BPN server, contributors can link to their own website how you tried it. I'm not sure why it doesn't work, I tried to fix it for you. Is hotlinking on your flickr site enabled?

    Axel,
I had to click the link and copy the URL from there.

    Len,
Use the icon at the top of the box that has a mountain on it to submit linked images.

    Thanks, James! Good to know.

Len, I like the interaction and light and wish the bird on the right were sharper or would have not moved. The background looks a bit noisy and I would try to get more details in the shadows. Keep them coming!
