I photographed this image at a library in Sarasota, Florida with my Canon 50D. ISO 200, f/5.6, 1/500, EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, 14mm, Evaluative Metering, Auto Exposure, Auto WB, No Flash. I converted the statue to B&W up the blue filter in order to bring out the engraving and retinted the statue.

Interesting angle - the detail on the statue is great. I find the intense blue of the sky somewhat distracting, toning it down might emphasize the statue better.

Funny you should mention that. Since I am printing now a lot of my images, I just started processing all of my PS work in Adobe RGB. and this was the first post I did and had to switch it to sRGB which changed the colors slightly. I guess I'm going to have to relook at an image prior to posting. Although the sky was deep blue that day. Thanks for noticing.

Great framing Richard and perspective. Think I like the blue somewhere in between the two posts. Very dynamic and great PP. Wow lucky you, the Epson 7900. I guess you will be going in to business full time soon:)

    Mr. Waas,
I haven't heard from you for quite some time...I see that you were in Sarasota; one of my favorite towns...:D I like the perspective on this...it's well composed and executed...I prefer the second version with the soft sky...well done Sir...

Love the angles you've capture and the composition Richard. The second one is the one.

The toned down sky is much better. When can we all come round and play with that printer?:D:D:D
