    Some birds work with Orton Effect some don't...this lovely Evening Grosbeak does...posted original in

    Paul, I liked the original post but the Orton effect really brings out the colors beautifully-nicely done!!

    Thanks..I find Orton works best with these colorful photos...you need the colors to make it work...I had to come to work an hour early this morning...I hate Daylight Savings...but at least tonite when I finish, there will still be light...yee haa spring is coming...Paul

    You're absolutely right - Orton really works here! Depending on how you feel about cloning, I'd consider removing the one stick that is right behind his head but everything else is delightful. Really nice job on this one!

    Nice treatment Paul. I am wondering if I would tone down the whites an re-Ortonize it??? Do you use a download for the Orton (an action) or do it yourself???

    Jackie I do it myself...there was lots of detail in right wing....but left was blown...I still have not figured out how to tone down the whites in CS4..at least to my liking..
