    This image was created in the predawn on the Hooptie Deux on the way to Alafai Banks with the Canon 400mm f/4 IS DO lens (handheld) with the EOS-1D MIII (with ISO Safety Shift set). ISO 500. Evaluative metering +1 stop: 1/8 sec. at f/4 in Tv mode.

    Predawn sky color is awsome, thank god you told us they were fish crows, first saw this and tried to figure out what they were..very interesting design, black wings stand out but bodies almost not there...seems like a scene from Lord of the Rings when Wood fairies start flying around...what is Tv mode (shutter priority)???

    I totally would have bought that they were bats! Love the colors and motion in this Artie. Would also love to see it with canvas added on both ends as a pano crop.

    I love the colour of the sky. Wonder if this was the 7000 K trick. Like Julie's idea of pano and a bit more canvas on the left. Nice try...bats............:)

    Thanks all for your comments. Jackie, this was actually created with Auto White Balance. I boosted the SAT in CS3.
