The story starts, "A long time ago..." well in this case a very long time ago these little arthropods wandered the shallow and not so shallow seas. This little trilobite came out of our own curiosity cabinet and and was found in deserts of Morocco where I was working in '97. Carefully prepared over several months to help it emerge from its little stone cocoon. I figured it was time to start playing around with the contrast that can be created with a twin flash. I hope you enjoy the experiment.

Hey Susan, a very cool subject, but I wish it had more DOF to bring all that cool detail into focus. Go F/32!

I agree with Mike...go for the texture even more and give it a little more room in the frame and I think you'll have one wild macro on your hands!
