    The lake was frozen so this guy was hanging out by a drainage pipe (black background in the upper half of the image). Canon 40D, 500 MM auto focus, ISO 800, f/5.0 1/1250 sec, Gitzo tripod with Wimberly head.

    Cool moment captured and good angle, too. I would go for a wider crop, rotate CW and remove the noise in the BG.

    Well captured action David - i would just like to see a little more space in front of bill but IMO can't see any need for CW roatation. Well taken..!!
