I like it too. Very even light, shows off the underwing details well. Well exposed, nice background and stick. Head is clear of wing, with good angle.
I might add a bit more space below and to the right, and try to lighten up the eye a little, add a bit of contrast there. I know that may seem overboard, but that was the very first thing I noticed when I looked at the image, that the eye seemed a bit lifeless for this species.

Looks a touch blue or magenta on my calibrated/profiled monitor. Given that you used flash, you might find that you need to make separate colour temperature adjustments for the bird and background. These tweaks would be extremely worthwhile in my opinion because your negative has enormous potential. In summary, great capture, negative development needs a little more work.
I think this shot sohuld've had at least 20 comments, as it looks so great, the light is perfect IMO, the pose is superb, the BG is nice and the detail is preety stunning. Comp it's not as great, but still, I think this shot is truely amazing! Congratulations!
