This is another photo of the same bird posted a few weeks ago -- with those suggestions applied. Nikon D300, Nikkor 300mm f/4 w/ TC14E, 1/250 @ f/8, ISO 200, taken at Duda ranch near Viera, FL. Cropped, Richardson-Lucy sharpening @ 3x3 for 1000 iterations, slight unsharp mask on luminance channel, highlights on breast lowered a bit. Suggestions for improvement always appreciated.

    David:

Nice head angle, great calling pose.

I might be tempted to crop out the wire. The blue on top also is just a bit distracting, would consider cropping it out, and adding a bit of canvas back.

Might suggest a quick pass with a healing tool to get rid of the whitewash on left of post.

    Maybe a smidge brighter overall.

    Thanks for posting.

    Randy.

Great singing pose and eye contact. Adding to Randy's suggestions, I would raise the color temperature and decrease the saturation of the yellows a few points and sharpen the bird more. Keep them coming!
