In a short while these beautifull birds will come bag to the Netherlands so we can start to photgraph them again.

Love the colors. The open mouth and tongue are great. Would like to see a little more detail in the dark parts on the head and neck. nice image

    Alexander:

A spectacular bird. So dramatic in its colors and contrast.

Sharp bill to rump, nice angle in frame.

In a perfect world, I would like a bit more room to the rear, it is just a smidge tight for my taste.

Hope to see more of these from you soon.

    Thanks for sharing

What a beautiful Grebe Alex - very sharp and nicely composed - the opened mouth adds great impact to the image. Well seen and taken.
What time of the year do they come back - I will be in The Netherlands this coming July..!!

What a great shot Alexander, I love the pose and the detail is great, perhaps just a little more Shadows/Highlights would provide a tad more detail in the darkest plumage, but that is one to be proud of!
