Hi everyone, here's a male Orangutan from our trip to Borneo a couple of years ago. This was taken at Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Borneo. These orangutans live freely in the forest there, they were once illegally owned as pets or by zoos and have been released there. Feeding stations are put out to help their transition back to the wild. This big male, named Richie was feeding on one of those stations. About 95% of FF, cloned out a small tree branch, ulc.

Nate,
I like your framing and composition. Unfortunately, it is tough to get an Orangutan in Wild. I had a one week time and was told the only way to see one Orangutan is to go to this rehabilitation centre as sighting in wild is very difficult. I hope next year, I can find a wild one.
Beautiful capture Nate... I had the same thought as Robert about the framing with the arms filling the bottom and right side of the image - very nice. Awesome detail, and the expression is fantastic. Congrats on a great image.
