    Butter wouldn't melt in it's mouth! If it wasn't for the s-bend in his throat he could get away with it too!;)
    As a matter of interest I have been told that the snake was a black mamba.....a dangerous lunch indeed!!!

    I love the background, beautiful color and the tall grasses have lines that lead my eyes nicely to the heron's head. Excellent comp, maybe just a touch more sharpness in the head?

    Great series Jeni, do like the leaves pointing tward your subject. Do hate snakes a lot!, but have enjoyed your set. Did a great job of capturing everything on the fly!

    Hi Jeni,
    I like the composition, image and capture...you have good color rendition, nice sharp details, a good head angle and sharp eye...also like the habitat. Would like to see the exif data presented...:cool:

    Thanks guys, Harold I think so - this was the first shot seconds after the tail went down.
    To give you some idea of time involved - 1st shot taken and posted in portrait last week was taken at 11.57a.m and this one was taken at 11.59a.m.
    Pretty nifty swallowing!!

    Hi Jenni. Great composition and agree with previous comments regarding the background grass, IMHO is what takes it over for me.
