I know the city is soft but I liked the way the sun and light mixed with the impending storm clouds.

    nikon d40x, 10/400 sec. aperture priority. iso 400 28 mm. f25.

some cropping, working with saturation and levels.

    Hi Hazel

I like the horizon placement low to show off the clouds and don't mind the soft buildings either. This image is all about tonal separation and would be good tweaking local contrast. Ex the mountains on the lower left, might want to darken one lighten the other for depth. Neat image !!!

Hi Hazel - Agree with AL'S comments - Composition is good.

Your horizon line looks a tad off to me - might need some CW rotation.
Also looks like you have a couple of dust bunnies on your sensor - yu can clone them out of courseon this image - but in th elong run you will want to get rid of them.

    Keep them coming :)

    Hi Hazel,
I like the composition...agree with both Mr. Forns and Mr. Peters on the good advise given...I would suggest on running noise reduction in the background...looking forward to your next one...

re the dust. yes, there was some and I thought I'd gotten it all out by PS but obviously not. I have cleaned the camera since.

re the noise reductio: question: are you talking about "reduce noise" in PS or another program?

    Thanks for the help.
