“On A Mission – The Sequel"

Note: This is the continuation of about the sixth frame of an image posted a few days ago. The original capture had the wing position on the down stroke; and this one has the raised wings.

This little guy was flying low across the river at Shark Valley, Florida at Everglades National Park. He was painted with a Nikon D70s, using a Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4D IF-ED lens. and a Nikkor 1.7 T/C.

    Image solution:
    focal length @ 765mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / in camera matrix metering / ISO @ 400 / 1/1640sec. - f/5.6 / white balance @ auto / AF - mode @ dynamic range, auto - continuous / color space @ sRGB /lighting solution - no speedlight, ambient light / exposure comp @ -1.0EV / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +1 degree / support platform - no tripod, hand held /

    Comments greatly appreciated…

Good capture with the converter Gus !! Does slow down the AF but fully workable !!! ... imo better than having to crop !!!

I like the raised wings, image made before bird got past you and clean bg !!!

    I like it!
    Good to know that:
    Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4D IF-ED lens. and a Nikkor 1.7 T/C
works very well. I'm about to get the 1.4 T/C or 1.7 T/C.

    Cheers,

Very nice Gus. I like the wing position and flight pose. Big bonus with the under-wing reflections off the water!
