    Was finally able to get one of these guys cruising by last Saturday at Shark Valley.

    Nikon D3, 200-400mm, F4, 1/1250, Iso 400, 270mm focal length, manual mode.

    Hi Oz- Looking good - exposure looks good - like the wings down pose and the detail om the wings.
    Might consider a bit of a crop to make it more of a pano feel.

    Hi Mr. O,
    I like the capture...you have sharp details and a sharp eye...would recommend on converting this into a pano crop to zero in all of the attention on the bird...also increase the saturation and contrast very little...good show...:cool:

    You got it Oscar and the hard way !!! Not easy tracking with the larger lens !!!

    Agree on the crop for proportion and might boost the contrast a tad !!! Excellent capture !!!

    Nice and sharp Oscar. Think a pano might make it look more dramatic (??) and agree with adding a little more black for contrast. Well done!

    I was thinking a pano crop might not strengthen this much, but I was wrong ... improves it alot. Great job! These are very tough to catch in flight.
