You did very well to get a photograph of this tiny bird as although they can be quite oblivious to people, they rarely stop for a moment. I find the pine needles on the left draw my attention but the setting provides a good indication of where the birds are typically found, running up and down conifer branches. A slight more head turn would have to have improved eye contact. Having said that often when you get goldcrests square on, they always seem to be looking slightly ahead.

    Cheers

    Nice image Sergey,
Great exposure and details on the bird.
Assuming this species behaves like the Golden-Crowned Kinglet in NA, then I agree with Rich - For a bird that comes so close, they can be very difficult to get a good photo since they don't stay in one place very long! I don't mind the head turn, but agree that the sllightly OOF pine needles on the left are a little distracting from the bird.

The perch is quite busy and messy at left, and the head angle is a bummer. Image quality looks great (exposure, sharpness, colours). I would probably tone down the brightest part of the "gold crest" as it looks borderline hot (the burn tool would work nicely here).

I'm looking at the bird. I think the detail and color is very good. You take what you can get in the way of a perch. Well done.
