    Taken in the garden from an homemade blind, near the feeder.
    Canon 40D, EF 70-200 f4 at 187mm
    1/500 sec, f/7.1, ISO 400

    Simply Gorgeous - You have a good pose and head angle along with sharp details throughout. Yellows look just right on my screen/ Might crop a little off the top and sharpen the eye just a tad.

    I assume the BG is part of your setup?

    Well done - keep them coming :)

    The background is a wall fence. I hope that in the future it will be covered with ivy and the trees and shrubs will grow. At this moment finding a good background in my small garden is not easy. And the lens is not for bird photography, but for now is the only one I have.

    I like the composition, image and capture...you have sharp details with very good color rendition. agree on the selective sharpening of the eye...looking forward to your next capture...:cool:

    I like the bg as presented Does make the bird stand out well !!! Lovely image and you did get close !!

    Not sure if its practical/possible but fill flash would be helpful !!! Do like it a lot !!!

    Lovely! Love the bokeh and the lighting. HA is excellent. Sure do wish these birds were around here, they are beautiful.
