    Default Newfoundland in June

    Hi all,
I will be taking an extended bird photography trip to Newfoundland in June. I'm currently trying to put together travel plans, and would appreciate any and all advice regarding locations etc. I read the September '08 ezine article, and would also appreciate advice on photographer friendly Zodiac operators, guides for witless bay, and permits to get to the witless bay islands to hopefully replicate some of Fabs' experiences! Thanks,
    -Matt

Check this couple out, they run an extremely nice bed and breakfast and zodiac tours. I used them on that trip:

Allow yourself extra time because of the ever present fog.

    Hi Matt:

you can access the permit application for Gull Island at this website:

    http://www.env.gov.nl.ca/parks/wer/r_wbe/permits.html

I have lived in St. John's more than 30 years and have travelled extensively on the Avalon peninsula and elswehere in Newfoundland and would be happy to try to answer questions you might have about your visit.

There is a a newfoundland birders newsgroup nf.birds which you can check for any rarities that might be around when you visit. Of course our rarities might be common to you.
