    I like it. Perhaps a little more ISO to give you the shutter speed to freeze the wings a little better. Great pose, color, and composition.

    Well captured Hugh - head and body sharp as a tack while slight softness in wing tips gives a sense of movement. Interesting warm colours in the water 'reflecting' the colours of the wings!

    Excellent timing for the wings position. Love the slightly blurred wings and a very still body. The colours of the water are amazing and create a very interesting tone to the picture.

    I do like the composition. These handsome, colourful birds are a dream to photograph. My only nit is that the BG is similar to the bird and it doesn't quite 'pop'.

    You nailed it Hugh. The wing and head position are just about perfect. This is a hard one to get with a clean and colorful bg.

    Great light, pose and details. I don't mind the slight wing blur, it makes it more dynamic.
