The Battle Has Begun

Last night there was a serious battle going on between two common moorhens. Not quite sure if it was territorial or rather because of the mating season. Needless to say it was an exciting exhibition and we were fortunate to have been able to see it

Looks like spring is on its way! I've seen it on this side of the pond as well, but it always happens when I least expect it....so congrats on capturing this fight. I agree that ideally it would have been photographed from a lower angle...but still a keeper.
