    Here is a picture I took last summer. I was wondering if anyone could help me ID this bird. Thanks in advance for your help.

    I beleive it is a Loggerhead Shrike

    Did you photograph the bird in Florida? Location is always helpful in IDing birds. I agree with John, it is a Loggerhead Shrike.

    I agree, Loggerhead Shrike. The thick, black mask sets the species off from the related Northern, and assumed Florida location fits the Loggerhead range much better. This looks like a young bird based on the buff feathers on the head and the barring.
