Image Of The Year 2008 Chris van Rooyen
Please join me in congratulating Chris van Rooyen for having his image "Banking Bearded Vulture" selected as the BirdPhotographers.net Image Of The Year!
Chris is being awarded a lifetime membership to BPN, BPN Logo Gear and a five day Tampa Bay area workshop/tour with James Shadle via "The Hooptie Deux". His winning image is also our Ezine cover for March 2009.
The image of the year contest is one of the benefits of being a BPN member. Only BPN members qualify to participate in the Image of The Week and Image Of The Year contest.
Selecting our first IOTY was not an easy process. First our moderator team nominated one image from each forum. Once the nominated images were compiled, anything that could identify the image owner (watermarks, signature, file name, etc) was removed.
The nominated list of now anonymous images went to the ownership group for final voting.
So many great images and only one IOTY winner.
